Sleeper emerging from JUCO scene
Anthony Eustace uses one term consistently to describe his quest for a Division-I scholarship: "Under the radar."
"A lot of (Division-I) coaches came up to watch this spring," says the 6-foot-4, 265-pound tight end for JC-powerhouse City College of San Francisco. "They were surprised-they didn't know about me."
Eustace transferred from American River College in Sacramento after one of his best friends, CCSF linebacker Larry Grant (who has signed a letter of intent with Ohio State), convinced him that CCSF would present a better opportunity. Some results are already apparent.
"The weight program (at CCSF) is magnificent," Eustace says excitedly, "When I got here my bench max was 245, now I'm up to 400. (The program is) doing me justice, and the coaches have made me the athlete I am now."
