The best back in Northern California?

BuffStampede.com Since Willie Griffin stepped foot on campus at McClymonds High as a freshman in 2004, the young running back from Oakland, Calif., has watched 13 of his teammates go through the recruiting process and sign a letter of intent with a Division I program.
Now it's his turn. Griffin has already picked up four scholarship offers and he is drawing heavy interest from a number of prestigious programs.
"The University of Washington and BYU both verbally offered me a scholarship, my written offers have come from the University of Colorado and Oregon State," Griffin explained.
Several Pac-10 schools as well as Miami, Penn State, Michigan and Notre Dame remain interested in Griffin.
