Bulldogs hold second scrimmage
STARKVILLE, Miss., - Mississippi State held their second fall scrimmage on Saturday in front of an estimated 1,800 fans who turned out at Humphrey Coliseum to catch an early glimpse of the Bulldogs.
MSU divided up the roster for two 20 minutes periods followed by a 12 minute session in which the Maroon squad won 122-88.
"It was about what you expect after one week," said State head coach Rick Stansbury. "There are a lot of things we need to work on and a lot of things we need to work at. With a lot of two-a-days going on, I didn't think we were as crisp as we have been but those things will get better."
Despite playing with a sprained ankle suffered on Thursday, Jarvis Varnado led all scorers with 33 points and 15 rebounds to go along with five blocked shots and five assists.
