New offers and interest in for three-star WR
Norcross, Ga. prospect Geremy Davis is a complete wide receiver. He has size, he has hands, he has big play ability and he enjoys the blocking aspect of the position. Six games into his senior season, Davis has made the most of every opportunity to showcase that skill-set.
"I've been playing real good," Davis said. "Me and my quarterback have been doing real good together. Out of his 10 touchdowns he's thrown eight to me. I have 28 catches for 482 yards and I'm blocking good too. We're 3-3 in the region and 3-1 overall."
With a tradition of good teams and college prospects coming out of Norcross, Davis has certainly made the most of his senior season in moving towards becoming the next major offensive threat to emerge out of the program.
"I feel that I am producing in the pass plays and in the running plays because I'm a big factor in blocking as well," he said. "I'm also a big factor in getting the ball in my hands and making plays after the catch."
Heading into the season, Davis had a couple of smaller offers and some surface interest from some bigger programs. Recently he added an offer from Ohio, bringing his offer total up to five, with more schools knocking.
"I'm picking up a lot of interest from Southern Miss," he said. "I met Travaris Robinson over the summer and he's been giving me a call. I'm hearing from Miami-Ohio, Memphis and a lot of MAC, Sun Belt and Conference USA schools."
Davis has taken a handful of unofficial visits this fall to places such as Tennessee, Jacksonville State and UCF, with a second visit planned to see UCF again this Saturday. The strong interest in the UCF program comes from Davis in part due to the coaching staff's strong interest in him.
"Southern Miss and UCF seem the closest to far to offering and they're both in the same conference," he said. "I've been to UCF numerous times and Southern Miss, I'm going to get down there because they just started calling me."
